With arrival of November – comes another exciting chapter of EICMA and the release of all-new 2020 motorcycles including the F900R, F900XR, S1000XR and very popular Concept R 18 /2.


The all-new BMW S1000XR – even lighter, even faster and even more versatile.

The new edition of the best-selling Adventure Sport bike is radically lighter (10+ kg) and more agile than it's predecessor, achieving an unprecedented combination of long-distance performance and sports capabilities.

• 5 kg lighter, newly developed 4-cylinder in-line engine based on the S1000RR with further optimized mid-range power and ridability. New transmission gradation for the 4th – 6th gear ratios in order to reduce noise, fuel consumption and engine speed level.

• Superior performance and torque: 121 kW (165 hp) at 11,000 rpm and 114 Nm at 9,250 rpm.

• Riding Modes Pro including Dynamic ESA, Dynamic Brake Control, ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, Hill Start Control and Dynamic Engine Brake Control MSR as standard.

• Newly developed chassis featuring Flex Frame, with the engine taking on a more pronounced load-bearing function.

• New 19% lighter swinging arm with directly articulated suspension strut for an even more sensitive response.

• New 6-axis sensor cluster.

• New instrument cluster with 6.5-inch, easy-to-read TFT screen and four screen displays.

• Completely redesigned bodywork for an even more dynamic design style, optimized aerodynamics and even further enhanced wind and weather protection.

• Powerful 2-cylinder in-line engine with an increased capacity of 895 cc

• Further enhanced output and torque: 99 hp at 8 750 rpm and 92 Nm at 6 500 rpm.

• Riding Modes Pro with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), engine drag torque control (MSR) and ABS Pro for even greater safety when cornering.

• Colour 6.5-inch TFT screen with BMW motorcycle connectivity

• World first in motorcycle construction: light, plastic-welded fuel tanks with a capacity of 13 litres (F 900 R)

• Electronic suspension adjustment Dynamic ESA at rear as an ex works option.

• Adaptive Cornering Light as part of the ex works option Headlight Pro.

“XR” stands for an uncompromising mix of sportiness and touring capability.

BMW Motorrad now presents its second sensational concept bike based on an 1800cc big boxer engine: the BMW Motorrad Concept R 18 /2 (pronounced: “Slash Two”). It is the stylistic opposite of the Concept R 18: a modern, dynamic custom cruiser with a performance appeal that is rougher around the edges.
